To accelerate the construction of the Chinese social innovation market, we are dedicated to bringing in the most innovative ideas into China.
1 What Is SSIR?
The SSIR is a “shared intellectual space” that presents ideas, information and research for the advancement of social change. Originally launched as a quarterly publication in 2003, SSIR is now supported by a website, podcasts, webinars, conferences, e-newsletters and social media. By gathering information and inspiration, connecting various important issues of social development, organizations, and solutions, SSIR touches more than two million people annually. The methodology and applications of “Collective Impact”, as well as many other ideas in global social innovation field, were first published in SSIR. [SSIR original link:https://ssir.org]
SSIR is published by the Stanford Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society (Stanford PACS), a research center that brings together students, scholars and practitioners with a focus on philanthropy and social innovation. Stanford PACS was instrumental in the founding of the Stanford Center at Peking University. In addition to conducting China-focused research, Stanford PACS-PKU offers cross-cultural student exchange programs and hosts an international conference each spring.
2 What will we do?
Over the years, our experience of entrepreneurship has integrated practice, philosophy, methodology, and cooperation. We are aware of the importance of speed in learning and application. We also know the importance of developing the market and working together with our peers. Therefore, we hope not only to bring these ideas into China, but also to bring the wisdom of Chinese social innovators and the experience of Chinese social innovation into the world. As a result, we will cooperate with Stanford PACS Center to promote the establishment of communication communities for domestic researchers and practitioners by introducing the classics and latest contents of SSIR. In addition, we will publish SSIR East Asian Social Innovation Supplement to share social innovation development in East Asia for the readers of SSIR.
To accelerate the construction of the Chinese social innovation market, we are dedicated to bringing in the most innovative ideas into China.
